Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role in the New York City Metropolitan Area. For this role, you will be helping out a client of Sports & Media domain with data analytics and assist them in taking key business decisions through data-led facts and insights.
We are seeking a highly experienced Engagement Manager (EM) specializing in Marketing Analytics to join our team. The EM will lead our Media & Marketing analytics team, providing strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to optimize marketing strategies, with a particular focus on the sports domain. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in marketing analytics, a deep understanding of audience behavior, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies.
As a lead, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of data analysts, data scientists, and data visualization experts
- Define and implement best practices and standards for data analytics and data science
- Advanced Analytics - Leverage machine learning and predictive modeling to identify trends, forecast performance, and optimize marketing strategies
- Communicate and present analytics findings and solutions to internal and external audiences, using clear and compelling data visualizations and narratives
- Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in sports analytics and data science, and identify new opportunities and challenges
- Client Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business goals and challenges to provide tailored analytics solutions
- Capability development – identify and productize analytical solutions that can be implemented at scale across other sports clients.
- Data-Driven Insights - Utilize advanced analytical techniques to extract meaningful insights from large datasets and inform marketing decisions.
- Audience Strategy - Develop and execute advanced audience segmentation strategies, leveraging demographic, psychographic, and behavioral insights to optimize targeting and personalize marketing messages.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a top-tier university.
- Experience: Minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience in marketing analytics, with a proven track record of leading successful analytics projects in large organizations.
- Technical Skills:
- - Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and techniques, including experimental design.
- - Advanced skills in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis.
- - Familiarity with digital marketing platforms and social media analytics tools.
- - Expertise in machine learning concepts and applications.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Leadership: Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the sports, media, or retail industry is preferred.
