What will this contractor be accomplishing for your team? Processing requests coming from the content marketing team or the business units that we support via Workfront. Fulfilling those requests by making changes in our CMS, Magnolia.
What will this contractor be working on / are there specific projects? Content updates in the CMS, uploading/altering PDFs, establishing redirects.

What makes this role stand out / what are some unique selling points? This role has the visibility into the content creation and optimization process for thehartford.com. This role will execute changes in the CMS and gain an understanding for how the website is constructed and managed.
Describe your expectations for training once a worker starts and expected ramp up. Training will occur with the 2 current web managers until 1 goes out on leave. Then, the remaining web manager will provide support to this worker for their duration.

They will not be doing any coding, they will be managing pages within the CMS via components and content apps. HTML, JS and CSS experience would be helpful but not required.

- MUST HAVE experience with Magnolia web content management***
The content manager will be primarily responsible for day-to-day content deployment and maintenance on thehartford.com (HIG.com). This requires moving text from Word documents to a content management system and building pages with complicated templates. The ideal candidate is a well-organized and collaborative team player with basic HTML knowledge and excellent written communication skills. The content manager will need to work closely with other team members on Teams, Workfront, Outlook and other collaborate platforms. Attention to detail in the work is extremely important.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on content deployment and maintenance on thehartford.com and other related company websites
- Input and manage text, images, and other content assets, using The Hartford’s Content Management System (CMS)
- Complete QA (quality assurance) of one’s own work and the work of other content authors for errors and omissions.
- Maintain high-quality web-site standards, such as content presentation, writing style, metadata, spelling and accessibility.
- Meet with other content and marketing team members to understand objectives, digest requirements and track progress toward publishing goals.
- Must have Magnolia Web CMS
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 months managing content on web sites
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and technical guidelines for web sites
- Experience using a robust Content Management System
- Solid time management skills with ability to manage a range of deadlines.
- Solid copy-editing skills and attention to detail
