Partnerly is a San Francisco based pre-seed company in stealth bringing innovation to the stagnant but large ~$52T residential real estate market. We're creating new, needed financial products connecting homeowners and investors through proprietary AI- and ML-powered delivery and infrastructure.
Product
Our product vision is centered around a vertically integrated offering for homeowners who want to sell equity in their homes and investors who want to buy it. Different types of equity financing, not debt backed by equity (e.g., HELOC or home equity loan), is a missing product set at scale for both groups despite the size of the residential real estate market. We are starting with one highly specific use case and product with the goal of being a multiproduct investment platform and financial marketplace.
Partnerly’s vision is to provide non-debt funding options to homeowners and a more efficient way to access the residential real estate market for investors through a scalable platform without an outright purchase of a property and associated obligations.
About Leadership
The CEO is an experienced data-oriented operator and strategist with experience at a large bank and in fintech. Specific experience includes a $1.0B+ IPO and in aggregate, several product launches, debt capital raises, partnerships, market entries, and formation of enterprise wide initiatives, including an AI strategy.
The CTO has 20+ years of experience leading 100+ person teams across fintechs and financial institutions. He has managed the 0 to 1 creation and scale of new financial technologies. Of note, he architected applications that resulted in clearing and liquidity of several trillion dollars of notional value in derivatives per year across three markets.
Co-founder Opportunity
We are launching a unique and operationally complex B2B2C company and believe a strong hire solely focused on the Consumer or Capital Markets side of the business can be accretive to our speed to market and robustness as a business. Partnerly is seeking one additional cofounder but is open to two different profiles.
Compensation
The Co-founder opening is non-salaried and equity based until additional funding or revenue milestones are met.
Profile 1: Consumer Leader/COO
Description
The COO will lead and execute a subset of functions between digital product, consumer sales, marketing, business operations, and partnerships depending on experience and interests. The remaining functions will be owned by the CEO.
We are an early-stage company that has just begun setting up its distribution capabilities and are about a quarter of the way finished with our MVP. The COO position will play a pivotal role in driving our 0-to-1 as well as the scale of the Consumer organization.
Many different hats will be expected to be worn as the company and Consumer function takes shape.
Experience and Requirements
Former or current founders; product managers; growth leaders; general managers; commercially oriented business operations leaders; and management consultants and investment bankers with startup experience will be considered
Hiring bias to experience with P/L responsibility, commercial ownership, or C-suite advisory
Has demonstrated clear experience in surfacing, navigating, and completing complex objectives end-to-end
Possesses ability to tame uncertainty and bring clarity to the unknown
Has a no-job-too-small attitude
Profile 2: Capital Marketsand Investment Strategy Leader/CSO
Description
The Chief Strategy Officer will lead and execute capital markets and investment management activities, which include fundraising plus the strategy, management, and creation of our financial products. Initial activities will include creating or refining collateral (e.g., models, analyses, and presentations), generating leads, managing investor pipeline, and supporting deal execution.
With regards to capital raising, this role will primarily focus on capital used to fund homeowners but with a secondary and temporary focus on engaging VCs and other operating capital providers. While the CSO function is not operational, willingness to engage in operational activities such as sourcing appropriate data vendors and setting up pipeline management infrastructure alongside CTO is needed.
Experience and Requirements
Former or current alternatives investors; capital raising professionals; FIG investment bankers; limited partner allocators; and structured product bankers or traders are preferred
Must have investing experience with complimentary network of investors or robust deal experience or trading history
Has combination of technical savvy in financial modeling with ability to generate and execute deals
Possess ability to distill complex topics to digestible formats dependent on audience
Location
The company is currently remote, but we are looking to be a hybrid company by Q2 ‘25. It is a requirement for all founders to be US based.
