We are looking for a skilled and motivated SQA Engineer to spearhead the software quality assurance of our consumer wearable devices in the neuro tech space. This role is critical in ensuring our products meet high standards of quality and reliability, with a special focus on Hardware In the Loop (HIL) testing.
This position is remote with the requirement that the candidate reside in the United States. Preference will be given to candidates that are located in the metro-Boston area or willing to travel for occasional meet-ups to work collaboratively when solving challenging hardware and software problems. Qualified candidates must be able to conduct light electrical work and testing from their home location.

Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain test plans and scripts, emphasizing automated HIL testing environments
- Collaborate closely with software and hardware engineers to ensure thorough testing of all device components
- Contribute to all phases of the software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, test coordination, release, support, and documentation
- Employ rigorous, analytical, methodical, and creative problem-solving skills to drive quality forward
- Develop and execute automated and manual testing as required
- Work with key stakeholders to properly frame up and triage issues as they arise
- Own and run weekly QA meetings
Minimum Qualifications
- BSCS/BSCE with a minimum of 7 years of related work experience
- Strong experience with HIL (Hardware In the Loop) testing
- Solid understanding of of software QA methodologies and best practices
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
- Experience testing battery powered IOT products that utilize BLE
- Experience with collaborating with engineers to create test plans
- Experience creating processes and procedures related to software testing
- Experience with automated testing
- Experience using JIRA or similar issue tracking software
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Memfault and setting up build environments on GitHub
- Hands-on experience with hardware products, particularly those that interact with mobile applications over BLE and custom-manufactured hardware
- Programming experience with Java and C/C++
- Experience with JTAG and in-circuit debuggers, emulators, simulators, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers
- Software development experience with FreeRTOS
