SBG Technology Solutions, Inc. We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate for the position is an experienced individual with the ability to excel in a challenging, fast-paced government contractor environment. There is some flexibility for hybrid/remote work, but the selected candidate’s primary office location will be our office in Alexandria, VA.
OVERVIEW
The Human Resource Manager will report to SBG's Chief Executive Officer and will be responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the routine functions of the Human Resources department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains the work structure by updating job descriptions for all employee positions.
- Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, and interviewing program,
- Conducts new hire orientation, onboarding, and exit interviews.
- Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
- Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
- Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
- Maintains historical human resource records using the Human Resources Information System, ensures safekeeping of past and current employee records.
Other Duties:
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employee follow-up on work results.
- Maintains human resource staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

- Performance Management – tracks and maintains 90 day and annual reviews
- Communication Processes – relays information to Employees through emails, handbook, meetings to keep employees abreast of policy changes, benefits, ancillary benefits, etc.
- Compensation and Wage Structure – works with management and salary development best practices to pay competitive salaries while maintaining internal equity.
- Supports Diversity – works through vendors and local outreach organizations to attract veterans, disabled veterans, disadvantaged workers and ethnic workers to the employ of SBG.
- Classifying Employees – reviews and classifies full time employees, utilizing DOL’s guidelines for exempt/non-exempt status.
- Employment Law – reads and distributes employment law changes as they are disseminated from multiple venues; incorporating into SBG/DSS’ culture and policies.
- Laws Against Harassment, Sexual Harassment & Bullying – monitors and investigates all allegations; provides training to management and staff via online classes.

Education:
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study with a minimum of five years of directly related experience.
- Combination of education, certification and experience considered in lieu of formal degree.

They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.
