Job Title : Databricks Lead ( AWS / AZURE / Python)
Job Type : W2 / C2C / 1099
Experience : 8-10 Years
Location : Plano, Texas
Responsibilities
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role with relevant experience of at least 5+ years and a total of 8-10 years of professional experience.
- Technical expertise in data lakes, lakehouses, data models, database design and development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Familiarity with Databricks concepts such as Delta Lake and delta tables.
- Hands-on experience with various machine learning techniques (e.g., clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
- Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (e.g., GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis) and experience with their applications.
- Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages (e.g., Python, SQL, Matlab).
- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (e.g., Business Objects) and databases, and programming in ETL frameworks.
- Experience with data movement and management in the cloud utilizing Azure or AWS features.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools, preferably Power BI.
- Solid understanding of machine learning.
- Knowledge of data management and visualization techniques.
- A knack for statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including the ability to write complex queries and procedures.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A business mindset.
- Manage and lead a team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and big data specialists.
- Oversee data mining and collection procedures.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary sources and maintain databases/data systems.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
