Role Description
Are you savvy with storytelling, writing, newsletters, marketing, journalism, and/or social media? Are you plugged into the world of internet culture, content creation, and the industry’s biggest players? You’ve come to the right place!
This is a part-time, remote work opportunity for an editorial intern to join our team at Passionfruit. We’re looking for folks passionate about creating, tuned in to the ever-changing internet, and curious about what’s going on in the world of creators.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Create editorial content related to Passionfruit stories, breaking creator news, the latest internet trends, tools and resources for creators, etc.
- Utilize writing and organizational skills to upload content to website and newsletter content management systems
- Tackle projects related to newsletter sections (news, tools, events, and other resources for creators)
- Create reports of newsletter and website performance, including trends and observations
- Meet with the Deputy Editor throughout the week to ideate content ideas, schedule content, and maintain content calendar
- Spend time engaging with Passionfruit’s audience and larger creator community across newsletters, the website, and various social media platforms
- Assist the Passionfruit editorial team with weekly output
What You Bring:
- At least one year of experience in a related creative field, with a portfolio or examples of work.
- Fields of interest include but are not limited to: Journalism, Advertising, Communications, Marketing, Arts, Design, Film/TV, Music, etc.
- Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week and meet remotely with Passionfruit and the social media team during working hours
- Comfortable completing multiple editorial projects weekly in a remote work environment
- Possess great attention to detail with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to experiment with a variety of content ideas, analyze results, and form an editorial strategy
Bonus, but Not Required:
- Completed or in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree studying Journalism, Advertising, Communications, Marketing, Arts, Design, Film/TV, Music, or a related field.
- Experience with content management systems, like WordPress
- Experience with email tools, like SendGrid
- Copy-editing skills
- Research or A/B testing experience
Benefits/Pay:
- $25/hour
