We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Data Entry Clerk. The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for accurately inputting and maintaining various types of data into our computer system. The ideal candidate has excellent typing skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Enter data into computer system with speed and accuracy
- Verify accuracy of data by comparing it to source documents
- Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
- Perform regular data backups to ensure data preservation
- Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is properly filed
- Respond to inquiries regarding entered data and resolve discrepancies
- Research and gather additional information for incomplete documents
- Perform regular data quality checks to ensure data integrity
- Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in typing and data entry software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with data confidentiality and privacy regulations
