The Freelance On-Page SEO Strategist will be responsible for conducting thorough SEO research, developing effective on-page SEO strategies, and optimizing web pages to improve search engine rankings. This role requires a deep understanding of SEO best practices, keyword research, content optimization, and a data-driven approach to decision-making. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest SEO trends and algorithms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify high-value keywords and phrases relevant to SUCCESS’s target audiences and content.
- Create briefs for the creation and optimization of website content, including meta tags, headers, images, and internal linking structures, to enhance search engine visibility and user experience.
- Analyze competitors' websites and SEO strategies to identify opportunities for improvement and differentiation.
- Perform detailed SEO audits of SUCCESS’s website to identify technical issues, on-page SEO improvements, and content gaps.
- Develop and implement on-page SEO strategies that align with SUCCESS’s goals and objectives, ensuring content is optimized for search engines and users.
- Work with data team to monitor and analyze website performance using SEO tools and analytics platforms, providing regular reports and insights to the SUCCESS team.
- Keep abreast of the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices to continuously improve SEO strategies and outcomes.
- Work closely with content creators, web developers, and marketing teams to ensure seamless implementation of SEO recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an SEO researcher, strategist, or similar role, preferably in a freelance or remote capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, and ranking factors.
- Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, and others.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of other digital marketing disciplines such as social media, PPC, and content marketing preferred.
- Certification in Google Analytics, Google Ads, or other relevant SEO certifications preferred.
