Role Overview:
As an IT Support Analyst at Parried, you will be a key member of our service desk team, providing remote technical support to our clients. This is a Tier 2 position, where you will work with computer hardware, software, networks, servers, and cloud technologies to ensure smooth operations for our clients. Your role involves monitoring, managing, and maintaining IT systems, collaborating with team members, and delivering top-tier customer service.
You will handle escalated support tickets, providing advanced troubleshooting and engaging directly with clients to resolve complex issues. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and solving technical challenges, and it involves documenting all troubleshooting processes thoroughly. The role offers continuous learning and growth opportunities in a dynamic environment where you will continually expand your skillset and contribute to the team’s success.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve IT support tickets, providing remote assistance for hardware, software, network, and server issues.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their technical issues and provide clear, step-by-step solutions.
- Utilize remote support tools to diagnose and fix problems efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
- Document troubleshooting processes and resolutions, maintaining thorough records for future reference.
- Collaborate with other team members to escalate and resolve complex issues, providing mentorship to junior staff as needed.
- Educate clients on system best practices and preventive measures to optimize their technology usage.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures to enhance system efficiency and security.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in hardware and software for both Windows and Mac systems.
- Extensive experience with cloud services like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, configurations, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with security protocols, backup solutions, and disaster recovery systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- IT industry certifications preferred (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.).
Requirements:
- 3+ years in a relevant IT support role, with experience in a help desk or managed services environment being a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred.
- At least two professional certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, etc.).
- Reliable internet connection and a professional home office setup.
- Access to reliable transportation for occasional onsite client visits.
- Strong problem-solving skills, customer-focused mindset, and a positive, proactive attitude.
