We are looking for a meticulous and experienced data architect to join our team with experience in data migration with ERP systems including Human resources, Supply chain and Finance data. The responsibility of the data architect will be to develop, optimize, and oversee conceptual and logical data systems. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve legacy data
- Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating business needs, operations, applications, and programming
- Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions
- Migrate data from legacy systems to new solutions
- Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts
- Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting and integrating new elements
- Establish and support pre-load and post-load business signoff
- Support internal and external quality control and audit processes
- Lead data defect triage and remediation
- Scope/identify/guide any remediation of incomplete/incorrect data in legacy systems
- Cutover planning and cutover coordination
- Experience in data conversion, including data extraction, transformation and loading
- Knowledge of Oracle Fusion HCM, SCMm and FIN modules
- Use of tools such as SQL, Azure SQL, Alteryx or any other ETL tools, JavaScript/XML/XLS, Python, Access, Excel
- Ability to lead colleagues and work independently as needed to meet project deadlines
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant field
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
- Outstanding problem solver
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
- Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques
- Expertise in SQL and Oracle
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Familiarity with data visualization tools
- Proven analytical skills
- Problem-solving attitude
