This position is full-time and remote Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an hour break, but flexibility is available based on coverage.

Purpose Of Your Work
As a
Manager of Site Reliability Engineer working within
Redwood Logistics (our Shared Services division), you will be responsible for either directly or indirectly for software application availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning. This is a critical role as we launch new products / applications and modernize existing applications. As Manager, you will help mentor other site reliability engineers and act as the central communication point for the team.
How You Make a Difference Everyday
- Define and support continuous integration and deployment pipelines (CI/CD)
- Act as a central lead for releases working with software engineers, product, and end users to ensure high quality releases.
- Maintain standards through entire SDLC included branching strategies and permissions
- Assist incident management team during production incidences in order to take actions to reduce the risk of future occurrences as well as reduce the time to identify root cause.
- Monitor and identify areas for cost reduction in cloud hosting
- Implement application and infrastructure monitoring and alerting to prevent client impacting issues by ensuring system availability, performance and scalability to maintain SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs
- Take an approach to automate everything
- Automate testing through CI/CD process to increase quality / reliability of releases
- Manage releases through the change advisory board process
- Provide feedback to engineering teams about performance, availability, security and application level health.
You’ve Got This?
- 4+ years’ experience creating CI/CD pipelines using Azure Devops, AWS Stack Sets, Octopus Deploy or equivalent
- 2+ years experience implementing production performance, availability, and scalability monitoring and alerting best practices using a tool such as DataDog, Logic Monitor or New Relic
- 4+ years experience managing cloud environments (Azure or AWS)
- Strong research/problem solving skills to resolve complex programming issues and implement longer term solutions to frequently occurring issues
- Experience building and deploying Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or similar technology
- Experience troubleshooting common network issues
- Experience project managing time sensitive projects with a team of SRE engineers
