Our client, a leading supplier within the oil & gas industry, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to process and manage payroll functions using ADP Workforce Now. This role will ensure the accurate and timely processing of employee payments, manage payroll records, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes and attention to detail.

Location: Downtown, Houston, TX
Type of Position: Direct Hire
Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now for all employees, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
- Administer wage garnishments, tax levies, and other court-ordered payments, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Partner with Human Resources to manage paid and unpaid leaves, salary adjustments, classification changes, and updates to employee deductions.
- Review and reconcile timesheets and payroll data for both field and office staff, implement pay and benefit rate adjustments, and address any discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies or issues and employee queries regarding pay.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure payroll accuracy and generate reports for management, finance, or external auditors.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll-related regulations and ensure compliance with company policies, as well as federal, state, and local payroll laws.
- Assist with administrative HR requests such as employment verifications, unemployment claims, etc.
- Assist in developing projected salary, benefits, and tax budgets, providing accurate figures for financial planning.
- Assist in month end close.
- Prepare OSHA work hours.
- Assist with HR projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, HR, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5+ years of full-cycle Payroll processing experience
- Experience with ADP WFN HR/Payroll software
- Strong understanding of payroll practices, tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and compliance.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
