The MBA Admissions Team recruits prospective students to apply to McDonough, evaluates candidacies through reading application files and conducting interviews, then yields admitted candidates to enroll in the program. This position would focus on either reading MBA applications OR interviewing MBA applicants OR both.
The McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University seeks to fill part-time (average of 10 hours per week) positions of Application Readers and Interviewers throughout the MBA Admissions season.
MBA readers are responsible for holistic assessment of applicants’ materials including letters of recommendation, academic accomplishments, essays, resumes, work experience, career goals, etc. MBA interviewers are responsible for assessing candidates via virtual interviews and serving as a Georgetown representative in that session.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least three years of experience in higher education admissions or student-facing role, or at least 3 years of experience in a recruitment function in another industry; eight years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- MBA or related Master’s degree preferred
- Keen judgement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to synthesize information well
- Professionalism and polish to represent the Georgetown brand
- Strong relational and interpersonal skills (for MBA interviewers)
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines
- Willingness and ability to learn new CRM systems
