Position Overview: The Structural Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for providing structural engineering expertise on various projects, from project initiation to completion. This includes managing the project scope, ensuring safety standards are met, and providing feedback on design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute structural engineering projects from start to finish
- Manage scope of projects, including project teams, resources, and timelines
- Develop and review structural engineering plans and designs
- Work with other engineering disciplines to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Provide feedback on design solutions to ensure quality and consistency
- Keep up to date with changes in structural engineering industry and technology
- Oversee project execution to ensure timely completion and quality results
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Structural Engineering or related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
- 5+ years' experience in structural engineering
- Knowledge of engineering design software such as MathCAD, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
- Experience in mechanical engineering and knowledge of building codes is preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
