Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Production Support Analyst specializing in Cloud Modernization to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies and production support, with significant experience in mainframe environments. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our cloud-based applications and infrastructure. The Production Support Analyst will work closely with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to provide comprehensive support and continuous improvement for our cloud modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities - Production Support:
- Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot production systems and applications in a cloud environment to ensure high availability and performance.
- Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide timely and effective communication to stakeholders regarding incident status and resolution.
- Cloud Modernization:
- Assist in the migration and modernization of legacy applications and infrastructure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Work with development and operations teams to implement best practices for cloud architecture, security, and cost optimization.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for cloud deployment, monitoring, and management.
- Mainframe Support:
- Leverage mainframe experience to support legacy systems during the modernization process.
- Ensure seamless integration and coexistence of mainframe and cloud-based applications.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient deployment of new releases and updates.
- Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers to resolve technical issues and optimize service delivery.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on cloud technologies and best practices.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on system performance, incidents, and resolution metrics.
- Participate in post-incident reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of incident management processes.
Qualifications - Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a production support role, preferably with a focus on cloud technologies.
- 3+ years of mainframe experience is required.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, and automation.
