The Content Marketing & Outreach Coordinator will work within our marketing team to deliver a consistent brand experience to our customers. This person will be responsible for coordinating Burley’s social media channels and email campaigns, content copy creation, and will support the execution of various marketing strategies to promote the Burley brand and story. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the brand’s customers and know how to identify content topics, themes and ideas that connect those customers to the brand and its relevant product lines.
Social Media
- Build and execute social media strategy and plan through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
- Generate, edit, publish and share content (original text, images, video or HTML) that is in line with strategic initiatives, builds meaningful connections, encourages community member engagement, drives traffic, and increases conversion
- Moderate all user-generated content for new trends and marketing opportunities
- Capture and analyze social data/metrics, insights and best practices
- Work in partnership with agency on placement and analysis of paid advertising on social media platforms
- Respond to social media inquiries and act as the brand voice on these platforms
Email Marketing
- Plan, schedule and coordinate marketing email campaigns and promotions
- Create and develop a look and feel for each email consistent with the Burley brand
- Coordinate campaigns with social media efforts
Copywriting and Brand Management
- Help create and edit brand copy, to include brand product descriptions, press releases, collateral pieces and more
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to help develop a compelling and authentic Burley brand voice
Community Management
- Plan, develop and execute Burley’s Ambassador and Affiliate Programs
- Manage individual Ambassador obligations, requests and agreements
- Partner with Ambassadors and other influencers to coordinate asset capturing (photos, blog content, etc)
- Evaluate sponsorship and donation opportunities and report on results to the Burley team
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-4 years of experience in a marketing role
- Deep knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools & techniques, including Email, Facebook, Instagram and Google Analytics
- Editorial requirements include basic SEO understanding, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong understanding of the English language with grammatical skills for developing and proofing content with a keen eye for “Story” and elements thereof
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and project management skills with the ability to track and manage multiple campaigns/projects at a time
- Willingness to travel domestically for work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress is a plus
- Independent and deadline-driven
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work area is indoors in a climate-controlled environment with moderate background noise.
- Up to 4 weeks of travel per year is required.
- The ability to set up product displays is required.
- The ability to work extended hours as the business needs dictate.
- Hybrid position based in Eugene. 3 days in office per week.
