Network Engineer
Optomi, in partnership with one of our premiere clients in the manufacturing sector, are seeking a dedicated Network Engineer who will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructures. Your mission will be to ensure that network systems are robust, scalable, and secure, facilitating seamless communication and data transfer across all systems.

Required Qualifications of the right candidate:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in network engineering, administration, or support, preferably within industrial or OT settings.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of network protocols, standards, and architectures, such as TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLAN, VPN, and SD-WAN.
- Network Devices: Proficient in network devices and technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex network and OT issues and provide effective solutions.
- Independent and Collaborative Work: Capability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively with team members and across various IT groups and business units.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications: Preferred certifications in network and/or OT domains, such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, JNCIA.
Responsibilities
- Design and Develop Network Architectures: Create and implement network solutions tailored to current and future organizational needs.
- Technology Integration: Integrate new technologies into existing network infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting and Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, including hardware failures, connectivity problems, and network bottlenecks.
- Security Protocols: Design and enforce security protocols to safeguard the network from unauthorized access, malware, and DDoS attacks.
- Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay current with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the organization’s network infrastructure.
