We have an opportunity available for a Business Data Analyst to support our client with their controls and integration initiative within their Connected Commerce line of business.
Contract Designation: Hybrid, 4 days a week in office, 1 day remote

This cutting-edge platform aims to revolutionize how card members experience and engage with brands by integrating seamlessly into their everyday activities. Whether our customers are traveling, shopping, or dining, Connected Commerce ensures they receive tailored offers, rewards, and experiences that resonate with their preferences and behaviors. This role is in support of the Controls and Integration initiative within Connected Commerce.
Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, controls, and integration, with hands-on experience using Python, Alteryx, and Tableau. This role involves analyzing business processes, enhancing controls, and integrating data to provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
Prior client experience is highly preferred. Prior experience in technology risk and controls projects is also preferred.
Key Responsibilities include:
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Leverage Python to develop scripts for data extraction, manipulation, and advanced analysis.
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau.
- Utilize Alteryx to create and manage workflows, automate processes, and enhance data preparation.
Controls & Compliance
- Develop and implement robust controls to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.
- Monitor and assess controls to identify and address potential risks or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enforce data governance standards and ensure regulatory compliance.
Integration & Process Improvement
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements for data integration and process optimization.
- Integrate data from diverse sources and systems to provide a comprehensive view of business performance and operational efficiency.
- Identify and drive opportunities for process automation and improvements to enhance overall business productivity.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Engage with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, deliver data-driven insights, and support decision-making processes.
- Present findings, recommendations, and insights to stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner.
- Provide training and support to team members on data tools and analytical processes as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP) is a plus.
- Previous experience at a large financial institution is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, with a strong focus on controls and data integration.
- Experience with collaboration tools, specifically Confluence.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Alteryx for data preparation, workflow automation, and advanced analytics.
- Expertise in Tableau for creating and managing data visualizations and interactive dashboards.
- Solid understanding of data governance, compliance, and control frameworks.
- Strong infrastructure, security, and cloud technical skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases is a plus.
