Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Information Technology Support Specialist at IDEC USA in Sunnyvale, CA. The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting desktop computers, and offering help desk support on a daily basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Support, assist, install, set-up end-user PC for all executives, employees, business visitors in IDEC USA offices.
· Prepare and monitor schedule replacement for PC, Notebook, Printers and other computer devices and peripherals.
· Resolve IT support requests from end-users.
· Answer end-users questions regarding computer systems.
· Gather and analyze data to diagnose problems with IT systems.
· Change configurations, settings and permissions to fix IT issues.
· Employee onboarding & offboarding process, new hire IT orientation, and end-user education and training.
· Install new software and hardware and updating existing ones as needed.
· Log all service requests and updating tickets as needed.
· Develop and promote standard operating procedures.
· Manage IT inventory, conducts hardware and software audits to ensure compliance.
· Coordinate purchasing activities with IT vendors.
· Assist in monitoring all servers and applications issue and perform fixes to minimize downtime. Discuss and coordinates issues with System Administrator if needed.
· Support remote users for VPN and other remote access issues.
· Support MDM technology (Intune) for mobile devices.
· Maintain a safe IT environment using provided cybersecurity tools and platform.
· Maintain department contracts, POs, invoices, and files.
· Provide application support for Warehouse and Shipping teams, ERP system, and other business applications.
· Identify, research, and resolve business application problems.
· Perform junior-level System administration tasks whenever necessary.
Qualifications:
· Solid-experience in enduser PC support. Strong problem-solving skills in-person and remote.
· High-level knowledge of commonly used software, hardware and applications.
· Familiar with Microsoft productivity tools such as Windows OS, Office suite, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint. Experience with M365/Azure.
· Experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
· Proficient in imaging workstations, hardware troubleshooting.
· Manage mobile tech challenges: MDM, MFA/2FA, VPN, remote access.
· Experience handling cybersecurity matters is a plus.
· Experience with SaaS and IaaS platforms (i.e. ManageEngine, RingCentral, Azure, etc).
· Quick, efficient problem resolution. In-person and remote.
· Excellent client/end-user service. Strong communication and engagement skills.
· End-user-centric approach. Top-tier client support skills.
· Strong communication skills to gather information from employees and explain complex technical concepts in simple language.
· Time management skills to provide updates and fixes within a promised time frame.
