Key Responsibilities:
Leadership in Manual Testing: Take charge of manual testing efforts by collaborating with project stakeholders, including internal and external IT teams and business units. Ensure a thorough understanding of both functional and non-functional requirements for projects ranging from small initiatives to large-scale transformational programs.
Testing Strategy & Execution: Independently develop and lead comprehensive testing strategies. This includes creating and managing test plans, cases, analysis, validation, and verification to ensure testing is thorough, clear, traceable, feasible, and meets acceptance criteria.
Project Deliverables Ownership:
- Test Strategy/Plan: Design, maintain, and execute a detailed plan covering all testing activities. This includes defining scope, objectives, approach, methodology, environments, deliverables, resources, schedule, entry and exit criteria, risk analysis, and other essential aspects to guarantee a high-quality product.
- Test Cases: Develop, maintain, and execute detailed test cases that address both positive and negative scenarios for every functional and non-functional requirement. Ensure these cases are effectively executed during internal testing and guide business users through the testing process.
- Traceability Matrix: Collaborate with Business Analysts to create and maintain a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that all requirements are fully implemented and tested.
- Defect Reporting: Establish and manage a defect reporting system that tracks, resolves, and communicates issues discovered during testing. This includes documenting descriptions, severity, steps to reproduce, status updates, and addressing environment-related issues.
- Test Execution Report & Metrics: Implement and manage a reporting mechanism to quantitatively measure testing progress and effectiveness. This should summarize test results, indicating which tests passed, failed, or were skipped.
Test Data Management: Ensure the completeness of the test data set for all necessary testing rounds, coordinating with key contacts for timely data refreshes.
Test Environment Stability: Work closely with technical leads to maintain the stability and availability of test environments.
Stakeholder Alignment: Secure sign-off on all testing documents from relevant stakeholders, proactively ensuring alignment across all project or program stakeholders.
Subject Matter Expertise: Grow into a subject matter expert in your designated field of work.
Communication & Reporting: Develop and deliver presentations to convey testing findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaboration: Take direction from multiple project leaders and provide guidance on best testing practices.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in software testing, with at least 3 years in a Test Lead role.
- Team Collaboration: Experience working with both internal and external IT development teams.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Supply Chain Management processes.
- Business Acumen: Ability to quickly grasp business processes.
- Testing Expertise: Deep understanding of manual software testing processes and methodologies.
- Project Management: Capability to manage multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously.
- Problem Solving: Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Leadership: Ability to lead teams towards a common goal, bringing structure to complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry Experience: Experience with Equipment Rental, Oracle EBS, and Rentalman Software is a plus.
