Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer with strong SQL skills, basic Python knowledge, and experience in QA automation. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our software, assisting with Tier 3 support, and testing our products before they reach our customers. You'll be an integral part of our development team, helping to identify and squash bugs, and ensuring a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance Testing: Conduct comprehensive testing of our software products to ensure functionality, performance, and scalability before release.
- QA Automation: Develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts to improve efficiency and coverage.
- SQL Expertise: Utilize SQL to query databases for testing, validating data integrity, and troubleshooting issues.
- Python Scripting: Use basic Python scripts for automating tasks and supporting test environments.
- Tier 3 Support: Collaborate with the support team to troubleshoot and resolve complex customer issues that require technical expertise.
- Bug Identification & Resolution: Work closely with developers to identify, document, and resolve software bugs.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL for database querying and data validation.
- Basic knowledge of Python scripting.
- Experience with QA automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cyprus, JUnit, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset.
- Knowledge of cloud-based environments and testing tools.
- Experience in Tier 3 support or a similar technical support role.
