Network Administrator
Location: Johns Creek, GA
Duration: 3 Months Contract to Hire
Interview Process: 1st Round – Video, 2nd Round – onsite
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Continuously monitor the performance, stability, and security of the network, ensuring all systems are functioning optimally.
- Diagnose and resolve network issues, such as connectivity problems, slow performance, and hardware malfunctions, to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with Network Engineers to ensure that all network systems are online, available, and working correctly.
- Maintain required spare hardware inventory.
- Set up and configure network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and updates to ensure efficient management and compliance.
- Provide technical support to end-users and other IT staff, addressing network-related issues such as connectivity problems and access issues.
- Keep up with the latest networking technologies, trends, and best practices to continuously improve the network infrastructure.
- Other duties as required.
Education/Experience Requirements:
5 years of hands-on experience with monitoring and support of network devices.
2 years of experience working in NOC environment or handling Tier 2 network escalations.
·Understanding of networks, routing and switching and related protocols.
·Aptitude and desire to learn new technologies.
·Excellent communication skills.
·Must possess organizational proficiencies to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision
·Must be highly motivated, self-starting, and committed to achieving results and have a strong sense of ownership and follow-through to resolution.
·Must have strong problem-solving skills and be able to come up with creative and flexible solutions.
