You’re familiar with managing and delivering data products, with a deep understanding and appreciation of Product Management, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
You are comfortable with contract work dynamics and enthusiastic about possibly transitioning into a full-time role with a dynamic regional employer.

What’s the role
This role is focused on how the team works together.
You will ensure the delivery team(s) you will be part of is (1) following agile and scrum principles, (2) performing up to their potential, and (3) being held accountable for the commitments they make. This is a delivery-focused, scrum-master “like” role. In it, you’ll be asked to both coach and work with the team to deliver great data products.
This role will be an integral member of two Data Product Delivery Teams: (1) a Data Product User Experience team and (2) a Data Platforms & Support team.
You are WFH ready (you have sufficient internet connectivity and bandwidth to complete your work in a quiet, professional work setting appropriate for camera-on web conference calls).
You will work with a digital enablement specialist on our client side, who will also help prioritize work and ensure that timelines are being met and work quality standards are high.
We have very stringent data safety and security standards. You will be required to complete regular attestations on policy adherence.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Backlog Management
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to prioritize and refine the delivery team backlog based on business value and strategy.
- Ensuring the product meets business goals and customer expectations.
- Clarify sprint goals and plans
- Inspection
- Participating in sprint reviews and demos.
- Supporting the team’s efforts by providing feedback.
- Monitoring progress and adjusting processes as needed.
- Seeking feedback from team members during retrospectives.
- Team Organization & Communications
- Facilitating Scrum ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups).
- Ensuring alignment with stakeholders and communicating changes.
- Keeping the team informed about strategic shifts.
- Removing impediments and ensuring smooth team collaboration.
- Promoting Agile practices and continuous improvement.
- Upholding Scrum principles and team dynamics.
- Sharing best practices and updates with the team.
- Reviewing updates on product releases and changes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience
- 5-7 years experience in data management, data governance, data stewardship, or similar professional/technical settings
- 3-5 years experience working in agile (Scrum, Kanban, XP or other), certifications and coursework optional
- Strong interpersonal communication - verbal, writing, presenting
- High emotional intelligence and ability to read a room in person or on web conference
- Ability to influence discussion and decision-making via positive 1:1 and group interactions.
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision and oversight
Compensation
- $70-80/hour, estimate 40 hours a week, through Q3, 2025.
- This role is deemed a “Contract to Hire” Role, with a negotiated base annual salary estimated at $140,000-150,000
