Position Summary
The accounting clerk's responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements. You will also run accounting software programs to process business transactions, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts.

Essential Function Statement (s)
- Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transaction
- Post revenues by verifying and entering transactions
- Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices
- Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating, information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments, and from customers.
- Resolves invalid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.
- Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line, coordinating contact with collections department.
- summarizes receivables by maintaining invoice accounts, coordinating monthly transfer to accounts. receivable department, verifying totals, preparing reports.
- protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Skills And Abilities
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree( GED) required. College or University degree preferred or years of service equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years in a related experience.
