Job Title: Senior SQL Server DBA
Location: Rocky Hill, CT(Onsite)

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled SQL Server Database Administrator. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in SQL Server administration, and experience with cloud services. The role involves optimizing database performance, maintaining data integrity, and proposing strategic road maps for continuous improvement. Familiarity with Power Shell and Unix shell scripting is essential, along with proficiency in SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS.
Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain SQL Server databases supporting healthcare systems, particularly Medicaid and Medicaid platforms.
Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and other performance-enhancing techniques.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions in line with business requirements.
Develop Power Shell and Unix shell scripts for automation of database tasks and processes.
Monitor database systems to ensure high availability, reliability, and security.
Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
Implement and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies.
Design and deploy SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS solutions for data analysis and reporting.
Propose and execute strategic road maps for continuous performance improvement.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in database administration and healthcare IT.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Overall 10+ years Industry experience.
- Proven experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator for minimum 5+ years.
- Strong technical expertise in SQL Server administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Experience working with cloud services such as Azure or AWS.
- Proficiency in Power Shell scripting and Unix shell scripting.
- Knowledge of SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS for designing and deploying BI solutions.
- Ability to analyze complex database environments and propose effective solutions.
- Leadership skills are required in proposing strategic road maps for performance improvement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
