Aras seeks a User Experience Designer with an
entrepreneurial spirit and creative problem-solving skills. The successful candidate should feel comfortable working in a well-established product environment and desire to evolve and deliver new and innovative customer experiences.
A preferred candidate should be passionate about delivering products and services that work exceptionally well for people, with the desire and ability to be hands-on. The perfect candidate should be able to create wireframes and high-fidelity skins and build an interactive prototype.
Essential Responsibilities
- Be a core member of a dynamic, fast-paced Aras UX team focused on software to support key PLM / Digital Thread workflows and use cases
- Designing workflows, interactions, and interfaces with varying levels of fidelity to communicate with peers and stakeholders
- Facilitating and participating in customer interaction in many forms, from interviews to Sprint demos to usability testing
- Effectively collaborating with a remote team
- Using customer insights that come from analytics and customer interactions to help inform business and design decisions
- Working with and participating in Agile team processes, working iteratively to deliver customer value
- Rely on user-centered design principles and best practices to produce high-quality visuals such as: user interfaces, personas, illustrations, icons, data visualization, journey maps, storyboards and scenarios
Qualifications/Requirements
- Advanced degree (or equivalent) in design, customer experience, human factors, or related field
- B2B SaaS, PLM, Digital Thread, and 3D software background are a plus
- 5+ years of hands-on industry experience in customer/user experience and product/service design

- Proven track record managing the experience design of complex, multi-channel systems

- Experience prototyping and designing new concepts, as well as refining and sustaining existing products/services
- Passion for design thinking and lean UX methodologies
- Ability to collaborate with technical resources to influence for improved customer experience
- Familiarity with Front-End platforms (e.g. AngularJS, ReactJS)
- Familiarity with PLM and Digital Thread concepts
- Familiarity with UI prototyping and documentation tools (e.g. Sketch, Adobe, etc)
- Familiarity with Machine Learning and Deep Learning concepts
