Our team is searching for a proficient Billing Coordinator to supervise our billing process. The role of the Billing Coordinator will involve preparing and issuing invoices, ensuring that payments from clients are punctual and accurate, addressing any billing problems, and maintaining precise records.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and communication abilities, and be capable of working independently and collaboratively with a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Management: Generate, review, and distribute accurate invoices to clients according to company procedures and timelines
- Payment Tracking: Monitor accounts receivable, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections
- Reconciliation: Reconcile billing discrepancies by working closely with clients and internal departments to resolve any issues
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records and ensure all financial documents are properly filed and accessible
- Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular billing reports, including outstanding balances, billing trends, and collection rates
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding billing inquiries, ensuring a high level of customer service
- Compliance: Ensure that billing practices comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving billing procedures and collaborate with the team to implement best practices
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a billing, accounts receivable, or finance role
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
