Description
Robert Half is seeking an experienced Microsoft Database Administrator to join our clients' team in Tempe, Arizona. The selected candidate will contribute towards our commitment to provide exceptional service to hospices and their patients.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve database problems and ensure optimal database performance, implement corrective solutions as necessary.
- Develop complex database systems to support business needs.
- Perform routine DBA duties such as user management, space management, database consistency check and manage the backup and recovery policy.
- Install, upgrade, and manage database applications, create databases, tables, views, stored procedures and triggers according to defined standards.
- Ensure data availability, recovery, and access control and develop and maintain database policies, procedures and standards.
- Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational teams to ensure database integrity and security.
- Train colleagues and support any data reporting needs or data analysis requests.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- 3+ years of DBA experience with MS SQL Server.
- Strong understanding of SQL Server databases, related utilities and tools.
- Proficient in SQL query writing and optimization.
- Knowledge about high availability strategies - replication, mirroring, log shipping.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
- Experience developing and maintaining documentation for policies, procedures, and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Record) or other healthcare-related systems.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient data privacy.
