Role: Data Analyst

The Data Analyst, reporting into the Director of Sponsor Data Insights and Products, is expected to be an effective partner with our Group Retirement Services portfolio. The successful candidate will assist in data entry tasks, supporting the run of recurring reporting, implement processes to automate/streamline existing processes and develop BI dashboards to enhance our existing suite of reports. This will result in improved efficiencies in GRS.
What will you do:
• Liaise directly with our key stakeholders to understand business needs and provide suitable analytical solutions.
• Enhance our suite of reports to align with modern tools and data practices.
• Develop continuous improvement solutions to automate, consolidate, or discontinue processes, with a focus on business value & efficiency.
• Build robust documentation practices across all analytical products.
• Manage multiple simultaneous data analytics/ Automation projects within assigned time and budget.
• Comply fully with all privacy, confidentiality, do not contact, our client's Code of Business Conduct, data security, our client's End User Computing and other requirements related to customer data

• Strong analytical skills and business acumen with an eye for detail and accuracy
What you will need to succeed:
• 2 - 3 years’ experience in a Data Analyst or Performance Analyst role
• 2 - 3 years of experience in Python/R/SAS for developing analytics led solutions.
• 2 - 3 years’ experience working with visualization tools e.g. Tableau.
• Advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Visual Basic
• Proven ability to help drive large and strategic projects from concept to implementation that span multiple systems and business processes.
• Strong understanding of data management principles, best practices, and data governance
• Excellent communication skills to drive a data-driven culture and lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Superior organizational skills, including process management to support workflow improvements.
• Undergraduate in Business, Statistics, Computer Science (or equivalent university degree or college diploma)
• Past experience in life insurance/wealth management, or other financial services industry is an asset (e.g., retail banking, credit card, property and casualty insurance)
