Primary Responsibilities:
ETL Design & Development:
- Develop and implement ETL processes to extract data from various sources, transform it as per business requirements, and load it into target systems.
- Design and develop complex SQL queries, scripts, and procedures to support data transformation and manipulation.
Data Integration:
- Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, flat files, APIs, and cloud services.
- Ensure seamless data flow between systems while maintaining data quality and consistency.
Performance Optimization:
- Optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ETL performance issues, data discrepancies, and failures.
Data Quality & Validation:
- Implement data validation and cleansing processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Monitor ETL jobs and workflows to ensure data loads are completed successfully and in a timely manner.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for ETL processes, workflows, and data mappings.
- Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights into ETL performance and data quality.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with business analysts and data scientists to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
- Participate in data architecture and design discussions to ensure alignment with overall data strategy.

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) is desirable.
- Experience with cloud-based ETL tools and services (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience:
- Proven experience as an ETL Developer or in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as [e.g., Datafactory, Tableau, AWS Glue, NiFi].
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
Physical Job Requirements & Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours in an office environment. The employee occasionally is required to move to access people or workspaces. Involves frequent telephone contact with agents and employees. Interaction with others is constant and may be interruptive or involve dealing with angry or upset people.
The employee may occasionally lift files, paper, or office equipment weighing up to 35 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier, and other such office equipment as necessary. Vision must be correctable to 20/30 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for long periods and the ability to optimally communicate is required.
