Join our team as an Application Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping data-driven solutions that enhance decision-making processes. We are seeking an experienced professional with extensive knowledge in application development using Python and advanced SQL skills.
Role Overview:
As an Application Engineer, you will design, develop, and implement complex enterprise software solutions utilizing Python. You will collaborate closely with both technical and non-technical roles, including data modelers, architects, analysts, and subject matter experts (SMEs). Your responsibilities will encompass design, technical analysis, development/configuration, testing, implementation, and support, all while representing the business interests across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects focused on the end-to-end development of application products and services, with a broad understanding of evolving technical and business capabilities.
- Ensure that multiple products and services work cohesively to meet business needs and add value for the customer.
- Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of best practices in application usage.
- Collaborate with domain experts to deliver data and application architecture.
- Work with operational and build teams to develop testing and implementation strategies.
- Provide updates on product and services delivery progress related to application deployment.
- Participate in risk mitigation and control activities, identifying and evaluating potential risks.
- Create conceptual and detailed technical design documents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all company policies and standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in application development using Python(Flask).
- Proven experience with RESTful API design, development, and microservices architecture.
- Proven experience in building CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven experience in implementing SDLC techniques, including test driven development and business driven development model.
- Advanced SQL skills for data manipulation and optimization.
- Familiarity with data architecture and ETL principles.
- Familiarity with data warehousing, modeling, and database design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Nice-to-Have:
- Knowledge of the healthcare economic domain, specifically the CMS risk adjustment model.
