One of Esteemed's clients is seeking a skilled and experienced
NOC Engineer to join a rapidly scaling Support Services division that combines proven customer service experience, solid endpoint/OS/connectivity troubleshooting skills, and ambition to grow as the organization expands. This is a Direct Hire and on-site role in North Miami Data Center with the potential for shift work to support a 24x7x365 customer base.
- Network monitoring & alert response
- Network topology experience to understand alerts, triage/troubleshooting, and response/remediations.
- Experience creating & maturing NOC runbooks desirable
- Experience triaging, troubleshooting, and working with carriers on resolving connectivity & circuit issues
- Communication management experience & response
- General networking/OSI layer troubleshooting experience
- Onsite resource for routine/in-person data center tasks (as assigned)
- Power-cycling appliances, ensuring connections/wiring, rack & stack, etc
- In concert with Engineering personnel, participating physical data center projects
- Communicating with Engineering personnel on server & appliance health
- End-user technical support for off-hours/Support Desk overflow
- Exceptional customer service delivery & proven technical troubleshooting via phone/email/chat
- Active Directory and identity/access management experience (Microsoft Windows Server 2008R2-2019 and Exchange Server 2010-2019)
- Server Management of domain joined pcs and group policies
- Strong hardware/software/OS troubleshooting skills (Microsoft Windows 7, 8.x, 10: Mac OS)
- Microsoft Office 2010-2019 & Office 365 Desktop application user support
- Small business to mid-sized enterprise connectivity experience (wireless, VPN, firewall, etc)
- Common technology support tools/product experience (RMM, Anti-SPAM, AV/Malware, etc)
- Strong documentation skills using CRM/trouble-ticket platform
- Experience supporting VDI-powered thin/zero endpoints preferred – direct experience VMWare Horizon highly desirable. Basic VMware vSphere knowledge highly preferred
- Hosted PBX/managed phone system support a plus
