Position Overview: I'm partnered with a leading Proprietary trading firm seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient C++ Trading Systems Developer to join their elite development team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining ultra-low-latency trading systems that are critical to their proprietary trading operations. You will collaborate with quantitative researchers, traders, and other developers to create and enhance the infrastructure that powers our trading strategies in real time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain high-performance C++ trading systems, including order execution engines, market data handlers, and risk management systems.
- Develop algorithms and data structures that optimize the speed and efficiency of trading strategies.
- Enhance the scalability and reliability of existing trading systems to support increased trading volumes and new markets.
- Optimize code for low latency and high throughput to meet the stringent demands of high-frequency trading.
- Implement best practices for multithreading, concurrency, and parallel processing in a high-performance computing environment.
- Work closely with quantitative researchers to implement trading strategies and ensure they operate as intended in production environments.
- Partner with traders to understand their needs and deliver solutions that enhance trading effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional experience in C++ development, with a strong focus on performance-critical applications.
- Deep knowledge of C++11/14/17, including advanced features such as templates, lambda expressions, and multithreading.
- Strong understanding of low-level programming, including memory management, CPU architecture, and cache optimization.
- Experience with network programming and knowledge of protocols like TCP/IP, UDP, and multicast.
- Experience in high-frequency trading (HFT), proprietary trading, or algorithmic trading environments is a significant advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
