Our client is seeking a Project Manager to cover a Maternity Leave. This position will be a temp position and fully remote.
Responsibilities:
- Managing complex enterprise projects with multiple work streams while ensuring successful delivery within agreed timeline, budgets, resources and quality, mitigating any risks
- Managing project intake from various departments and facilitating prioritization of the portfolio of project requests and projects which are in planning and/or execution
- Working with key stakeholders and workstreams to define project purpose, scope, goals, requirements, tasks, and dependencies
- Engaging with business leadership and subject matter experts to capture business needs and translate to business requirement documentation
- Providing thought leadership with regard to determining optimal solutions to complex business problems
- Creating a project plan, including an outline of project phases, milestones, tasks, and timelines while identifying critical paths and dependencies
- Managing the risk, issue, and change management processes, and working with other leaders to develop and implement mitigation plans as needed
- Tracking and providing program status updates and developing and maintaining KPIs and quantitative measure of project success
- Lead and drive business analysis for strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Act as a thought-leader and provide innovative and forward-thinking recommendations.
- Elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements to support project objectives.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure the functionality, quality, and performance of implemented solutions.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discussions to gather requirements, resolve conflicts, and drive consensus among stakeholders.
- Ability to utilize multiple project management methodologies i.e. Waterfall, Agile.
- Developing and maintaining documentation standards, including business requirements, user stories, epics, functional specifications, process flows, test plans, user stories, and user acceptance criteria
- Identifying and mapping current state process inefficiencies, gaps, and future state improvement opportunities
- Managing stakeholder expectations; lead communication efforts to ensure transparency across functional departments regarding project and program progress
- Delivering executional excellence on programs, projects, and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborating with business units to challenge assumptions and deliver the best solution
- Identifying opportunities to improve business practices for efficiency and revenue generation
- Developing reports describing improvements in and health of processes, operations, and business performance using MS Excel, Access, and Power BI
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2-5 years of Project management experience
- Experience with waterfall methodology is strongly preferred
- Experience with Project management software/tools
- Must have strong stakeholder management ability
- Must be able to present PPT’s
- Must be comfortable with public speaking (in front of small groups)
