### Role Overview
In this position, you will manage and oversee donor-related data, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our database systems. Collaboration with the Development team is key, as you'll play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing donor records, tracking donations, and supporting a variety of fundraising initiatives.
### Responsibilities
- **Database Management**: Develop and maintain complex database applications; create queries and generate reports tailored to our needs.
- **Data Accuracy**: Ensure the timely and accurate entry of donor information into our CRM platform (Raiser's Edge NXT). Manage financial data, gift acknowledgments, and tax receipts.
- **Communication**: Produce personalized thank-you letters, handle donor correspondence, and manage third-party gift reconciliation.
- **Training and Support**: Offer training and support to staff on data entry and reporting. Provide ongoing maintenance and updates for the donor database.
- **Campaign Support**: Assist with direct appeals, email campaigns, and other fundraising activities. Lead community giving campaigns and track updates in the CRM.
- **Administrative Duties**: Provide administrative support to the Advancement Department and help document sensitive donor information.
### Qualifications
- **Education & Experience**: An Associate's Degree in related fields is preferred, while a Bachelor's Degree is advantageous. A minimum of 3 years of experience in database management, particularly within nonprofit fundraising or marketing settings, is required.
- **Skills**: Proficiency in Raiser's Edge or similar donor software is essential (experience with Raiser's Edge NXT is preferred). Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and virtual meeting platforms are also necessary.
- **Qualities**: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized individuals who can work both independently and collaboratively will thrive. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.
- **Adaptability**: Must be flexible and able to navigate ambiguous situations while collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders.
### Physical Requirements
The role involves frequent sitting, using hands and keyboard, reaching, and talking or hearing. Occasionally, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or bending may be required, including lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
### Work Environment
This position is based in Charlotte, NC and offers a hybrid work schedule. Regular attendance and punctuality are important attributes. Please note that a criminal background check, pre-employment drug test, financial credit check, and driving record check are also part of the hiring process.
