### Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Lead Financial Reporting Analyst. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing financial and analytical support for various Foundations within our organization. You will collaborate with management across our Physician's Organization (PO), departmental teams, Foundation leadership, and hospital stakeholders.
### Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead financial and analytical support for assigned Foundations.
- Act as the main point of contact for projects, ensuring clarity on requests and defining scope and deliverables.
- Prepare journal entries, reports, and analyses related to financial statements and intercompany activities.
- Adhere to the accounting close cycle and ensure timely reconciliation of assigned accounts.
- Analyze revenue and expense variances, providing insights into changes from previous years, budget variations, and future projections.
- Produce financial reports for monthly closes, quarterly reviews, and year-end evaluations.
- Prepare work papers and support audit processes, addressing auditor inquiries efficiently.
- Conduct various accounting duties including bank reconciliations and proofreading financial documents.
- Prepare tax returns for Foundations and ensure timely submissions.
- Lead team members in responding to ad-hoc requests and mentor junior staff in their activities.
- Serve as a liaison with Foundation Leadership on financial reporting and technical accounting matters.
- Submit periodic reports to regulatory agencies as required.
- Assist Foundation management in compiling annual budgets and conduct budget-to-actual analyses.
- Maintain effective relationships with peers in PO Finance and colleagues in the Foundation to support organizational goals.
- Present monthly financial results to Leadership, including executive administrators and board members.
- Maintain detailed documentation and electronic records compliant with departmental and hospital standards for external auditors.
### Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Health Care Administration, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, and analysis within a healthcare environment.
- Strong analytical capabilities and focus on operational effectiveness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to lead strategic analysis efforts across PO and Foundations.
- Interest in fostering technical, data, and business analytics skills among team members and throughout the organization.
- Leadership skills with a commitment to mentoring junior staff.
