The Technē Art Center, a nonprofit dedicated to bridging the gap between the arts and adults with disabilities, is seeking a dynamic Marketing and Development Intern to join us in our early stages of development.

- Role: As a Marketing and Development Intern, you will play a crucial role in helping us advance our mission and reach a broader audience. This is a fully remote internship with flexible hours, allowing you to work according to your schedule. Although the position is unpaid, you will receive a letter of recommendation and academic credit upon successful completion. Your outstanding performance could also open up opportunities for an advisor role within the organization!
Key Responsibilities: Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies: Work with our team to create and execute marketing plans that effectively promote our programs and initiatives. Use creative approaches to enhance our visibility and engagement.
- Create Content: Design and produce engaging content for our social media channels, newsletters, and press releases. Ensure that our messaging aligns with our mission and resonates with our audience.
- Outreach and Networking: Reach out to news channels, journals, and other media outlets to secure coverage and expand our network. Build relationships with other organizations and community partners to enhance our impact.
- Scout and Engage Artists: Identify and connect with professional artists who can contribute to our programs. Initiate and manage communications to invite them to collaborate and share their expertise with our community.
- Assist with Campaigns: Support the development and execution of outreach campaigns aimed at raising awareness and driving participation in our events and programs. Analyze campaign performance and provide insights for improvement.
- Brand Management: Help maintain and enhance our presence across various platforms. Ensure consistency in messaging and visual identity.
Qualifications:
- Passion for art, accessibility, and advocacy for individuals with disabilities.
- Strong passion for the nonprofit sector and a commitment to making a difference.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, content creation, and basic marketing principles.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a less structured environment.
- Previous experience is not required; a proactive attitude, enthusiasm for learning, and willingness to adapt are key.
- To be eligible, you need to live in Texas.
