Database Engineer
Why This is an Exciting Role:
As a Database Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics, you will be responsible for architecture and development of new database systems. Tune Oracle databases to improve the performance of the database and its components. Developing software for data analysis. Building, extracting translating, and loading (ETL) scripts. Supporting database upgrades, migration issues, and repair corruption PL/SQL packages and triggers.

Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and 20 years’ experience in System Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree, (25 with no qualifying bachelor’s degree)
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Experience with Oracle database administration and engineering applications
- Experience with Extract, Translate, and Load (ETL) operations and an understanding of dataflow into Oracle
- Understanding of TechSIGINT data
- Experience providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of specific components of complex software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting system requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and perform technical assessment
- Experience developing system engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents
- Experience conducting and/or approving end-to-end system trade analyses optimizing system operations over its life-cycle
- Experience developing system design alternatives considering life cycle cost, reuse, complexity, risk, system expansion, and growth
- Experience developing alternative courses of action, workarounds, and fall-back positions with recommended course of action for each risk, and monitor and re-evaluate risks at appropriate milestones
- Experience improving standard integration strategies based upon rational for previous decisions that resulted in improved integration performance
- Ability to fully define interfaces in terms of origination, destination, stimulus, and data characteristics for software

Summary Pay Range:
Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
$210,000 - $235,000
