**Required Qualifications**
- **SAS Expertise:** A minimum of 2 years of experience with Base & Advanced SAS, preferably with certifications and extensive use of macros.
- **Data Management Skills:** Demonstrated ability in designing, developing, and maintaining data extraction and transformation jobs, alongside analytical reporting and automated programming leveraging reusable and macro-driven components in SAS.
- **SQL Proficiency:** At least 2 years of experience in SQL, with familiarity across multiple Database Management Systems, emphasizing efficient table joins.
- **Tableau Development:** Over 1 year of experience in developing Tableau dashboards.
- **Adaptability:** Ability to seamlessly transition between problem-solving, research, and crafting sustainable processes.
**Desired Qualifications**
- **Healthcare Data Experience:** Understanding and experience relevant to healthcare data.
- **Business Engagement:** Capable of engaging directly with business users to ascertain requirements and independently plan and design solutions.
- **Project Support:** Proven experience in supporting projects across both payor and provider sectors.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Data Extraction and Calculation:** Extract and compute metrics from various data sources using SAS to prepare data for Tableau dashboards, focusing on areas like patient safety and adverse events.
- **Data Maintenance:** Develop and maintain a comprehensive perspective of data to support an array of projects.
- **User Engagement:** Collaborate closely with business users to collect requirements, plan, design, and implement solutions.
- **Project Ownership:** Manage projects from inception to completion, overseeing requirements gathering, documentation, implementation, and providing training to analysts on new tools.
- **Innovation and Enhancement:** Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of data delivery and presentation, aiming to improve operational efficiencies.
