We are searching for a contract Web Content Manager for our technology client. In this position, you will be responsible for managing and organizing blog content and entering it into a CMS (WordPress). Interested in learning more? Take a peek at the key details below and apply today!
As a Web Content Manager, you will:
- Audit 50-100 pieces of blog content & track recommended copyedits to drafts.
- Update post content formatting in WordPress, ensuring consistent formatting and following web content best practices (images, hyperlinks, header styles, etc.).
- Optimize web content for SEO to increase organic search visibility and drive traffic.
- Gather & organize all final blog content assets in a central repository.
Who We’re Looking For
Our client seeks someone with a demonstrated track record of successfully working with cross-functional teams, including the ability to:
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with both in-person and remote teams and stakeholders over email, phone, or cloud tools.
- Self-manage your calendar and coordinate effectively with team members for both virtual and in-person meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in web content management, copyediting, and a working knowledge of SEO principles (not as a strategist, but sufficient for content management).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
- Excellent editing, proofreading, and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of web content principles and SEO best practices.
- Experience with content management systems like WordPress, specifically managing and organizing blog content.
- Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Other Qualities We’d Love For You to Have
- Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
