POSITION OVERVIEW
The ideal candidate for Product Marketing Manager at Axiad will love two things equally well: telling meaningful stories to technical audiences in a way that inspires them to action; and working side-by-side with sales and marketing professionals from enablement and training to delivery of deal-closing assets and tools.
The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for driving go-to-market activities for Axiad's market-leading product line. This role will execute the overall product marketing strategy and supporting tactics including positioning, messaging, and content development for all inbound and outbound activities. Candidates for this role must be able to create compelling messaging that aligns Axiad strengths with current market needs.
The position requires strong marketing and communications skills, as well as a technical understanding of enterprise cybersecurity software, SaaS services, enterprise IT environments, and rapidly evolving security challenges. The Product Marketing Manager must be comfortable working closely with sales, sales engineering, product management, and marketing, as well as with prospects, customers, partners, and analysts. The position can be based in San Jose, California or remote, and reports to the Director of Product Marketing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- With product management peers and leadership, articulate winning positioning for Axiad's products
- Craft compelling messaging that helps buyers understand our benefits and unique advantages and deliver it through creative presentations, demonstrations, sales collateral, white papers, and positioning documents
- Develop sales enablement assets focused on helping internal and field sales teams understand target markets and buyers, buyer personas, pain points, product proof points, and key messages
- Drive cross-functional product launches, coordinating the efforts of engineering, sales, marketing, PR, and operations
- Conduct market financial sizing and segmentation analysis, including pricing, packaging and revenue projection
- Provide product support for sales and marketing events, including customer interaction and visits
- Gather and analyze competitive data in order to create assets as part of a comprehensive competitive intelligence program
- Act as an evangelist for the Axiad product line to market influencers, industry analysts, prospects, and customers at trade shows, industry events, and conferences
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 + years of experience as a high-performing product marketing manager
- BA/BS required; MBA or equivalent preferred
- Demonstrated success in driving go-to-market strategy for cybersecurity products, both on-prem and cloud-based
- Experience managing product launches, including managing cross-functional teams
- Enterprise security software experience
- Experience in identity security, with at least an entry-level understanding of authentication, access management, PKI/cryptography, and credential
This position requires approximately 20% travel
Compensation: approx. $130K - $175K OTE + equity, depending on experience
