Job Title: Senior Cloud Migration Architect
Location: Local to Boston - role will be remote with expectations to come onsite 2-4 times/quarter

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Cloud Migration Architect to lead our division's transition from traditional data centers to AWS. This role is crucial for driving our cloud initiatives and ensuring a seamless migration process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Cloud Migration: Oversee the migration of our data centers to AWS, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement cloud migration strategies, including potential future migrations to other cloud platforms.
- Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance on AWS, leveraging your deep technical knowledge to solve complex migration challenges.
- Decision Making: Play a key role in decision-making processes, helping to shape the future of our cloud infrastructure.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external partners, to ensure successful project execution.
- Diagramming: Create detailed and visually appealing diagrams to communicate migration plans and progress.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in cloud architecture and migration.
- AWS Expertise: Proven experience in migrating data centers to AWS, with a strong understanding of AWS services and best practices.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to take charge and lead complex projects, particularly in a government or public sector setting.
- Technical Skills: Strong background in data management and the ability to create detailed technical diagrams.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
