About Our Opportunity
As an IT Service Desk Technician II, you’ll play an important role in assisting with the configuration of systems and being an escalation point for Level 1 technicians . You will manage corporate technology platforms, provide IT support to end users and help create IT and SOP documentation. Working closely to collaborate with the IT Service Desk team and MSP, you will provide prompt and efficient support for Valenz staff.
Things You’ll Do Here:
Resolve complex issues related to systems, applications, and hardware
- Manage escalations for IT Service Desk team
- Configure and manage the internal ticketing platform that is used to handle IT support requests submitted by Valenz users
- Assist in resolving system wide issues with O365, encryption tools, endpoint management and application access
Manage existing systems and assist with implementation of new tools and systems
- Contribute to the configuration and testing of new systems and software
- Administer Active Directory and O365 environment including contacts, users, shared mailboxes, distribution lists, groups, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
- Assist with email migrations and other major projects
- Participate in management and integrations with Active Directory, desktop management and imaging tools
- Support with automated and manual software patching for endpoints
IT Documentation & SOP creation
- Create and maintain standard operating procedure documentation for IT department
- Contribute in building end user wiki for self-service
- Migrate and update existing documentation to new platform
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- 3+ years of experience as Tier 2 or Level 2 IT support technician
- Experience providing support in a fully remote environment
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and O365 administration
- Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft applications
- Experience configuring desktop management and remote imaging tools
- Proficient in PowerShell
A plus if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, business, or similar
- Microsoft 365 certification(s)
- Experience in Azure
- Experience with MDM and RMM tools
