The Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), the world's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of uncrewed systems and robotics, represents corporations and professionals from more than 60 countries involved in industry, government, and academia. The Opportunity
The Association is seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our Strategic Programs team as an education intern. This internship supports the planning and coordination of the association’s educational programs and related activities, including supporting programming communications, scheduling meetings, events, and webinars, providing administrative support for project, database and speaker management and supporting AUVSI’s online learning and engagement community, Aville.
Essential Job Functions
- Support planning and coordination of various educational programming and related activities including, but not limited to, in-person events, virtual events, Aville online learning and engagement community, and webinars.
- Support internal and external communications related to programming, including speaker invitations, coordinating, and scheduling meetings, collecting speaker information, etc.
- Coordinate with program management to perform program modification, speaker, and schedule changes.
- Support team through administrative duties including database management, speaker management, program trackers and dashboard management, etc.
- Support the implementation and upkeep of the Speaker Database within NetForum.
- Keep updated records and create reports or proposals as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (in-progress or completed) or relevant experience working to support the planning and coordination of program/educational content.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Fast learner, tech-savvy, and self-motivated.
- Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize competing projects and an eye for detail.
- Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with technical, engineering, or scientific content - including the ability to gain and apply knowledge of relevant technical, regulatory, political, and cultural trends/issues currently impacting the industry.
- Experience or familiarity working with event management and marketing software.
- Experience or familiarity working in Smartsheet.

- This position will require you to work offsite with a flexible schedule.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, walk, reach, stretch, and manual dexterity. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be asked to lift objects up to 20 lbs.
Job Details
- Location:Remote; Some work may be performed at event sites and other locations away from home office.
- Part-time: 10 hours per week
- Salary: $15.00 per hour on a biweekly basis, subject to required taxes.
