Position Overview: The State of Colorado is seeking a dynamic and experienced Enterprise Architect to support the Trails program within the Office of Children, Youth and Families (OCYF) at the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS). The Enterprise Architect will play a crucial role in aligning the Trails program with OCYF's vision and operational goals. This position requires close collaboration with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with program leadership and technical teams to provide direction and feedback for product development.
- Conduct system discovery assessments, perform gap analysis, and provide expertise in technology, integration, security, and compliance.
- Lead architectural design and execution to meet both functional and non-functional requirements, aligning with the strategic roadmap.
- Oversee architecture changes, ensuring compliance with standards and best practices.
- Develop technical roadmaps, drive DevSecOps practices, and lead technical decision-making processes.
- Maintain a solid security posture, aligning software development and hardware infrastructure with CISO standards.
- Evaluate vendor deliverables for quality, including code review and test coverage.
- Propose and coordinate architectural changes, knowledge transfer sessions, and process improvements.
- Provide guidance on agile development, operations, maintenance, and product issue triage.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience leading software development teams and solutioning across multiple platforms with agile process management.
- 5+ years of experience managing large, complex projects with multiple dependencies.
- Public sector and Human Services experience is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Extensive experience with legacy platforms, cloud technologies, and high-availability systems.
- In-depth knowledge of SDLC, CI/CD, technical process engineering, and IT/software trends.
- Experience in infrastructure support, application development, and cloud-based applications.
- Knowledge of software (.NET/Java), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and Microsoft Power Platform.
- Proficiency in programming languages (.NET Core, C#/Java/JavaScript/Python) and markup languages (HTML/XML/YAML).
- Expertise in API development, data architecture, relational databases, and security architecture.
Tools and Platforms:
- Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Software development using SDLC/Agile methodologies (Azure DevOps).
- The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) and Microsoft Power Platform.
