Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced professional to join our proposal team for a government contract that supports the Global Nurse Advice Line (NAL), which provides critical healthcare support to eligible beneficiaries of the Military Health System (MHS).
Telehealth Services Offered
The Global Nurse Advice Line operates 24⁄7, providing access to telehealth registered nurses who offer:
- Triage services,
- Self-care advice,
- Responses to general health inquiries,
- Customer service support,
- Care coordination services including provider locator support,
- Appointment scheduling for military treatment facilities,
- Urgent care referrals and customized facility transfers.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have extensive supervisory experience in healthcare settings, particularly within call centers or nurse triage environments. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for effectively implementing programs and projects.
Work Environment and Schedule
- This role is eligible for remote work for candidates residing in the U.S.
- The standard work schedule is 40 hours per week during day shifts, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring remarkable leadership and communication.
- Oversee the implementation of nurse triage programs, taking charge of resource management and program adjustments.
- Develop execution plans for programs to guarantee clarity and tracking of progress.
- Manage the tracking and reporting of program performance metrics to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Maintain high standards of patient care and quality assurance in call center operations.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and compliance guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance program success.
- Assist in the hiring, training, and evaluating of nursing staff.
- Educate and monitor Call Center/Communications operations.
- Act as a liaison to promote excellent customer service through effective communication.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in healthcare call centers or telehealth nurse triage programs, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in nursing.
- A Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
- An active RN license in any U.S. state, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
