Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the management, monitoring, and administration of medications in compliance with policies.
- Conduct thorough medication verification and reconciliation during client admissions, throughout their stay, and at discharge.
- Co-sign nursing notes and assessments completed by LVN/LPN staff.
- Maintain accurate records of client allergies within the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and client chart.
- Audit and monitor controlled substances for proper documentation and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to nursing policies related to care planning, infection control, Joint Commission standards, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Communicate important nursing updates to the multidisciplinary team daily.
- Participate in weekly treatment team meetings and contribute to client care plan development.
- Provide nursing support during all physician sessions.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and physicians to address questions regarding medication changes and health-related issues.
- Complete and delegate daily communication logs and updates regarding client information.
- Manage the nursing schedule to guarantee adequate coverage and support.
- Collaborate with People Operations to interview, hire, and onboard new nursing staff.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and a current, active Registered Nurse license.
- Preferred experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Supervisory experience is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Charge Nurse or Nurse Manager in a 24-hour treatment center is advantageous.
- Current CPR certification is required.
