Since 2004, the Jaipur Rugs Foundation has worked to improve the lives of rug-weaving artisans in India. This is done through training, skills development, and social interventions. As the
Director of Solution Architecture , you are a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Solution Architect and will lead our architectural efforts across the organization. This role will have an enterprise-wide focus, being able to delve into the technical details of our platforms and integrations while developing an enterprise view of our technologies in alignment with business objectives. You will also help to establish architecture principles and processes to advance our maturity. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a strong technical background.
Essential Responsibilities
- Enterprise Architecture : Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, ensuring it aligns with business goals and IT strategies.
- Solution Design : Lead the design and implementation of IT solutions that meet business requirements and align with the overall enterprise architecture.
- Technical Leadership : Provide technical guidance and oversight for the development and deployment of solutions, ensuring best practices and standards are followed.
- Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide architectural guidance.
- Innovation and Evaluation : Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and benefits for the organization.
- Governance and Standards : Establish and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices across the organization.
- Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including diagrams, models, and blueprints.
- Risk Management : Identify and mitigate architectural and technical risks associated with IT projects and initiatives.
- Mentorship : Mentor and coach other technical team members to build architectural competencies within the organization.
Qualifications

- Experience : Proven experience in solution architecture, and technical architecture roles. Enterprise architecture experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills : Strong understanding of a variety of technologies and platforms, including ERP systems, B2B and eCommerce technologies, data-driven business environments, cloud services, microservices, and integration technologies.
- Business Acumen : Understanding of business processes and how technology can enhance them.
- Project Management : Strong project management and presentation skills.
- Problem-Solving : Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
- Communication : Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with the ability to articulate architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications : Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
- Adaptability : Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Specialized Training Or Knowledge
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with expertise in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, advanced functions, formulas, filtering, etc.)
- Ability to collect and synthesize information, making it relevant, understandable, and actionable for key stakeholders
- Ability to balance multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Generate insights that improve the business through linking various data sources
- Strong understanding of Analytics and Visualization techniques
Physical Requirements
- Remaining in a seated position for long periods of time
- Standing is to remain on one’s feet in an upright position without moving about
