What you will do:
The Data Scientist role will focus on supporting the solutioning and implementation of data science projects specific to Cineplex Media. You will work with the Directors, Executive Directors and VPs to build and develop customized solutions for Media Sales clients.
This is a 12 month contract position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the data/IT governance process and manage all data sources/ platforms that feed into the CDP specific to Media Sales initiatives.
- Uncover and identify opportunities to increase revenue, drive efficiencies, and improve the client experience by leveraging statistical approaches against multiple sources of data including internal sales/ transactions and external party data/ benchmarks.
- Effectively communicate with people having different levels of understanding of data science and data architecture, both within the company as well as directly with clients.
- Work closely with our Media Sales team and directly with clients to demonstrate the value of 1st party audience data in supporting and complementing the digital data retargeting (with in-cinema and without in-cinema buys).
Education & Certification
- University or College Degree in a quantitative field.
- Masters degree within a quantitative field is preferred.
Experience
- 3+ years of Advanced experience with statistical analysis.
- 3+ years of managing projects.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Working knowledge of machine learning, Linux, dimensional data, modeling for BI reporting, and design development, and maintenance of reports in PowerBI.
- Experienced with SQL, Python, R, data integration, and web-based data visualization tools (ie, Tableau).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex technical concepts down to concise, simple, and easily digestible sound bites.
